He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gertrud Baumann and Friedrich Baumann; his wife Catherine; his children, Gregory, Cynthia Ubelhor (Michael) and Scott (Michelle); his grandsons, Jacob and Riley; his siblings, Rolf (Doris) and Ulrike Gehring of Crailsheim; and his brother-in-law Ron Bals (Judy). He was also cherished by 2 nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made in Hans' memory to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association.
