He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith Pollock Hartzell and Oliver R. Hartzell; his brother John Oliver Hartzell; and his nephew John Eric Wham. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Dana Day, Julia Saenz and Mark (Susan); his stepchildren, Shaun MacKay and Melinda Browning (Will); his grandchildren, Aimee Bangoura, Alana Clark, Brynna Day, Nicole Saenz, Savannah Saenz, William Hartzell, Haylee Hartzell, Harrison Browning and Hugh Browning; his sister Mary Sue; and his nephews, Robert H Wham and Thomas B Wham.
