It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Escalante of San Joaquin, California, who passed away on September 6, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Gutierrez and Josefa Duran; and her son Jose Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Jose Escalante; her children, Placido Escalante, Rosalvina Rodriguez and Alicia Escalante; her grandchildren, Eric Escalante, Yvette Escalante, Jovanie Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez Jr., Isabel Esparza, Mireya Esparza, Jose Garcia and Cruz Garcia; and her great grandchildren, Leonardo Rogriguez, Sofia Flores, Guiliano Cisneros, Roxana Escalante, Annabelle Escalante, Harlow Escalante and E. J. Escalante.
