It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Wayne Champion of San Joaquin, California, born in Okemah, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 24, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Champion and R. C. Champion. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Elwood; his daughters, Amy and Elizabeth; his son-in-law David; his children, Emily, Jesse and Anthony; his son-in-law Joseph; his grandchildren, Joey, Matty and Gracie; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Penelope and Lanie; his siblings, Paul Lancaster of Tranquillity, CA, Barbara (Don Kelley) and Jerry (Bernie); and also, Diana, Jason, Daniel, Mikey and Ali. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and their loving partners.
