He was predeceased by: his parent Pat Rd (Nancy Finnerty); and his siblings, Elizabeth and Sean. He is survived by: his parent Pearse Rd; his wife Evelyn Finnerty; his children, Kate, Pearse, Neil and Grace; and his siblings, Mary, Ann, Catherine, Bernie, Paddy and Tony. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Walter's contribution to the Band cannot be overstated.
