She was predeceased by: her parents, Valentina Gonzalez Maradiaga and Prudencio Maradiaga; her siblings, Ralph Maradiaga, Frank Maradiaga, Inez Paniagua (Ruby Maradiaga), Mary Hernandez (Maradiaga) and Catherine Mestas (Louie); her daughter Denise Alves Laron (Payton); her grandchild Shaina Sanders; her nephews, Frank Maradiaga, Jr. and Mark Hernandez; and her cousin Larry Lovato.
She is survived by: her brother Raymond Maradiaga (Michi); her husband Harold Franklin Payton; her daughters, Michelle Payton and Patricia Susan Sanders (Tyrone); her grandchildren, Daniel Alexander Payton Alves, Lauren Rose Payton Alves, Evaristo Franklin Laron (Frankie) and Micha Sanders (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Bruce Sanders, Jade Sanders and Ellie Sanders; her nieces and nephews, Lisa Davy (Robert), Raquel Gonzalez (Rae Paniagua), David Paniagua (Michelle), Andrea Hernandez (Leslie), Valentina Timms (Hernandez), Allan, Nick Fallon, Kelley Garcia (Arthur), Greg Mestas (Amy), Corey Michelle Mestas, Roxanne Ontiveros (Matt) and Lucy Nicole Norman (Frank); her great-aunts, Rose (Gabriel Gonzalez), Elaina Gonzales, Adian Gonzales, Olivia Paniagua (James Timms), Alaina Timms (Alex Fallon), Victoria Schaeffer, Marissa Garcia (Ruben Garcia), Amanda Mestas, Sandra Mestas, Samantha Mestas (Jacob), Jordan (Michael), Espy, Ja'el Ontivero, Ascher Ontivero and Briana (Steven); and her cousins, Louise Martinez (Lovato), Robert Lovato, David Lovatto, Danny Lovatto and Trish Werner (Lovato).
