He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Francis McKenna III and Vera Lorraine Everstine; his wife Florence Jean Brodeau; his son Norman McKenna; his brothers, Donald McKenna (Waltraud) and Paul McKenna (Joanne); and his grandparents, Dennis Francis McKenna II, Ellen Shaffer McKenna, Olive McKenna, John Everstine and Florence Schisler Everstine Stombaugh.
He is survived by: his sister Kathy Martin Hamilton (Donald); his children, Dennis, Richard McKenna and Connie McKenna; his daughters-in-law, Pamela McKenna, Sherri McKenna and Madeline McKenna; his grandchildren, Ben McKenna (Amy), Darrel Neilson, Heather Gonzales (Jayme), Marsha Silvey, Caren McKenna, Colleen Carroll, Courtney Carroll and Melina McKenna; his great grandchildren, Shane Jensen Jr., Justice Heflin-Woods, Mason Silvey and Sebastian Carroll; and his nieces and nephews, Pam Sarlandt (Oscar), Tammy Holt, Angela Nichols (Danny), Jimmy McKenna (Corina), Scott McKenna (Renee), Floyd Brodeau Jr. and Scott Collins.
