She is survived by: her former husband Raul Carter; her children, Kathryn (Katy), Chris Carter (Kristi) of Truckee and Katy Martin (Scott) of Redding; her grandchildren, Jessica Martin, Tyler Carter (Caitlin), Danielle Carter Dayton (James), Nicole Martin, Parker Martin and Brooke Carter; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Lyman, Addison Dayton and Penelope Carter; her siblings, James Moore (Patricia), Joann Moore (Ray Manley) and Marjie Moore Bibeau; and her close friend Alan Dodd.
The family asks that donations be made to The Nature Conservancy and Doctors Without Borders.
