He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Copeland and Myrtle Lee Copeland (O'Shia); his brother Norman; his nieces, Kelli and Mindi; and his nephew Norman.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Craig Copeland (Julia) of Livermore, CA and Jennifer Hallam (Kevin) of Walker, MO; his siblings, Nadine Priest (Leon) of Radcliffe, KY, Denver Copeland (Debbie) of Vine Grove, KY and Christopher Copeland (Natasha) of Honolulu, HI; and his sister-in-law Donna Chism (Kent) of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, including 3 raised by Darrel and Connie: Alexandra Comstock of OR, Mikaela Weeks of LA, and Kody Wilson, of the family home near Naples, ID; 2 great-grandchildren.
