We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2024, Rabbi Jonathan Stein (San Diego, California) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Amy Stein and Milton Stein (family: Philadelphia); his wife Susan; his daughters, Rachel (Len Rosner) and Jessica (Matt Colvin); his sister Diane (Andy Holzman); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Leah, Lev and Shai. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Congregation Beth Israel (9001 Towne Centre Dr, San Diego, CA 92122). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at the El Camino Memorial Park Cemetery (5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121). A reception was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Congregation Beth Israel (9001 Towne Centre Dr, San Diego, CA 92122). A shiva was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 7:00 PM at 700 Front Street 33040.
