He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Michael Julius Boeckel; his siblings, Vivian, Julie and Melvin; his wife Leila Sandknop; his daughters, Elizabeth Boeckel-Barr (James Barr), Janice Mays and Kathy Romero (Mike Meza); his grandchildren, Rory Romero, Sara Romero (Ryan Stephens), Joshua Mays (Sonia), Chelsea McQueen (Raymond), Jennifer Boeckel Barr, Ryan Barr and Sierra Boeckel-Barr; and his great grandchildren, Chase Boyce, Michael Mays, Sophia, Amelia and Olivia McQueen.
