She was predeceased by: her parents, Theresa Posada and Jesus Posada; and her brother Jesus. She is survived by: her husband Richard Castillo; her daughters, Deborah Castillo and DeAnn Salcido; her grandsons, Daniel and Joseph; and her sister Gloria Ortega. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to The Chicano Federation or The San Diego Food Bank, in lieu of flowers.
