It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Refugio Rascon (San Diego, California), who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid adieu to Maria Refugio's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Maria Refugio has bequeathed us. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Diego Caloca and Maria Caloca of Mexico. She was also cherished by her three children, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and one great grandchild.

“Prayers to the family at this sad time. Angel and I visited his Tia Maria and Tio Ruberto in Chula Vista when I met them and they were lovely people. For 25 years Angel told me stories and memories of them and all of his family. Angel dearly loved his Tia so very much. I know they are having a great time now that they and other family members are all together now. Edward Williams (Angel Barrios)”
