He is survived by: his wife Bahar Gursel; his daughter Samantha Castanien (Sam); his parents, James Castanien and Beverly Castanien; his siblings, Christian Castanien (Joan) and Kimberly Castanien (Dave); his uncle Roger Castanien; and his aunt Rosemary Castanien (Pinkie). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
