She was predeceased by: her parents, Claus Johannsen and Emma Johannsen (Landt); her husband Vergel Straw; her siblings, Claus "Joe", Robert Johannsen and Marge Shane; and her nephews, Randy Johannsen and Bernie Shane.

She is survived by: her son Mike Straw (JoAnn) of Pipestone; her grandchildren, Brad Straw (Teresa) of Pipestone and Sara Delaney (Shane) of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; and her great grandchildren, Kayleigh Straw, Aubrey, Mackenzie Delaney, Kibo Pulscher and Chaska Kinnerson.
