He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Radhashyam Roy and Chitralekha Roy (Dey); his wife Krishna (Mandal); his daughters, Dr. Kaveri Roy (David Roberts) of Massachusetts and Soma Roy of Massachusetts; and his brother Prasanta Kumar Roy (Latika) of North Carolina. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, and cats.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the ISKCON Temple of San Diego or to the San Diego Humane Society.
