It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Etta Player Johnson of San Diego, California, who passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Johnson Jr. and Mary Louise Johnson-Morrison; her stepfather Fred "Tiz" Morrison Sr.; and her brother Fred Morrison Jr.. She is survived by: her son Victor-John Player; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Ann Player; her grandson Isaac; and her friends, Debra Mosby and Glenda George-Patterson. She is also survived by family.
