It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Roger Shorter (San Diego, California), who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fritz Shorter and Wava Shorter; his child Jerry; his wife Joan Louise Shorter; his stepchildren, Robert Wayne Squibb (Hiedi Squibb), Gary Lee Squibb (Heather Squibb) and Shari Diane Hurley (Jim Hurley); and his grandchildren, Garrett Wayne Squibb, Cameron Rae Squibb, Carson Lee Squibb and Kelsey Len Hurley. He was also cherished by family members and friends.

This disease started to take over and eventually Alzheimer's set in.
