He was predeceased by: his mother Martha L. Malecek; his grandparents, Paul, Mae Zimmerman, Edward V. and Louise Malecek; his aunts and uncles, Marie (Gary Law), Patricia (Rod Rademacher), Phillip Zimmerman and Larry Smith; and his cousin Christopher Smith.
He is survived by: his father Edward L. "Butch" Malecek; his siblings, Kari Petersen (Jason) of Delano, MN and Randy (Joni) of Lakeside, CA; and his nieces and nephews, Ashley and Nicholas Petersen.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in the memory of Eddie Malecek to either Delano Youth Baseball and Softball Association or Delano Area Youth Hockey Association.
