David Leonard Mollet Obituary

Dr. David Leonard Mollet, age 86, of San Diego, California passed away in the early morning of Friday, May 31st, 2024 with his daughter Sarah holding his hand while he departed. David was born and grew up in England. He worked very hard during his life and obtained a doctorate of Philosophy in Education. David lived a successful life as a Professor, Educator and Publisher, travelling back and fourth with his former wife Joyce Mollet primarily to New Zealand and United States. During his early years, David and Joyce adopted two babies Sarah and Matthew in the 1970's from Bangladesh. He ensured he took his children everywhere he travelled as he lead a fulfilling career he was passionate about.

David was devoted to his family, community and career. He spent a considerable amount of his time in partnership with Joyce dedicated to writing and teaching educational material on Ancient Civilizations, History, Math and the Waldorf Education Approach. David had a love for dance, music and volunteering for refugee children. Towards the end in the last year, David liked the simple things in life which were to be around his family and enjoying everlasting moments. David will forever be missed and cherished.

A memorial service - celebration of life for David will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Erickson-Anderson Mortuary, 8390 Allison Avenue, La Mesa, CA, followed by a celebration of life reception from 1:45 PM to 3:00 PM.
