With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Cantrell Franke Michel of San Diego, California, born in Kansas City, Kansas, who passed away on November 12, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar L Cantrell and Catherine Leora Cantrell (Montgomery); her great-aunt Betty; and her son Troy. She is survived by: her great-uncle Otto Franke; her husband Dr. Gilbert Michel; and her daughters, Tina Denning of Tulare, Trudi Zeckser of Gardner and Tamara (James Frewen) of Frisco. She is also survived by grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Preschool, Newton Library Large Print & Audio Department, or Victory in the Valley and may be left with Petersen Funeral Home.
