Carol Lee Langston Obituary
Carol Lee Langston, June 22, 1934, passed away in her daughter's home on February 24, 2023. She always thought lovingly of her life as a child on her grandparent's farm in Indiana, remaining connected to all things Hoosier: including Abraham Lincoln, Kurt Vonnegut, David Letterman, and Bobby Knight. After High School, she attended John Herron Art Institute, founded 1902, graduating with an emphasis in sculpture; a journey of "making" continued throughout her life in various mediums. After graduating, she traveled to San Diego, where she met her husband Jerry (Gerald) Courter. Jerry's service in the Army took them to Tokyo Japan, her second locale of connection, where she taught English. After Japan, they traveled to New Orleans where their daughter was born, becoming the trifecta of important locations in her life. She later settled in San Diego where she worked as a graphic artist for 20 years at San Diego State University.
A lover of Blake Sheldon, books, and seeking the meaning of life, she had an extensive library on all subjects, but especially enjoyed exploring: self-healing, Spiritualism, and Quantum Physics. Her desire to know, influenced and encouraged many to follow their own beliefs and internal paths. She will be fondly missed by her family Renée Kredell, Jack Kredell & Megan Mack, Grace Kredell & Gabe Elder and Claire Kredell and Carol's sister Diane Henderson and son Dan Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, donations for a bench in her name can be sent to Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. P. O. Box 288, Milesburg, PA 16853. Arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg PA. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
