She was predeceased by: her husband Alfonso Esquivel; her parents, Olive Chappell and Herbert Whitmarsh; her brother James Whitmarsh; her son Pedro Esquivel (Pete); and her grandson Dustin Esquivel.

She is survived by: her sons, Robert A Esquivel, Richard G Esquivel (Kathy), James E. Esquivel and John K. Esquivel (Terry); and her grandchildren, Robert Esquivel, Robin Trujillo (Tony), Loni Esquivel, Anna Esquivel, Elizabeth Wolverton (John), Andrew Esquivel (Breanna), Amy Baker (Jarrett), John Esquivel (Areka), Pedro Esquivel and Jenny Esquivel. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren as well of several nephews and nieces.
