She is survived by: her daughters, Hitomi (Darrell Smith) and Misao Nakatani; her grandchildren, Mina and Koji Nakatani; and her siblings, Kimi Obana (Kay) and Takeshi Matsumoto (Judy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Zenshuji Soto Mission (123 S Hewitt St, Los Angeles, CA 90012).
