He is survived by: his wife Julie; his sisters, Esther Escalante and Carmen Sanchez; his sister-in-law Judy Ortiz (Alfred); his children, Heidi Mefford (Danny), Joseph Ortiz (Darlene) and Raquel Ortiz (Joe); and his grandchildren, Andrea Mefford, Ashleigh Mefford, Alexa Ontiveros and Dominic Ortiz. He is also survived by his family, friends.
