He was predeceased by: his father Michael VanLaningham; and his brother-in-law Nick Wood. He is survived by: his mother Alice VanLaningham (Shipley); his sisters, Kristen Gillin (Ted) and Julie Wood; his stepmother Charlotte VanLaningham; his nephews, Marc and Max Suding; and his niece Sophia Wood. He is also survived by two aunts and many cousins.
