He was predeceased by: his wife Rosa Castillo-Medina. He is survived by: his children, Gloria Ruiz, Blanca Estela Zendejas, Veronica Medina, Rosalba Medina-Herrera, Sonia Medina, Yuri Medina, Victor, Eliseo, Roberto, Jesse and Enrique Medina. He is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren.
