“I met Louie on a plane flight from Monterey to Sacramento when Louie was attending his first appointment to the California State Conservancy Commission. I was attending the same meeting requesting a $15,000. grant as Harbormaster for a much needed natural resource management study. After Louie was newly introduced, he promptly promoted the need for the harbor study which was amazingly unanimously approved (to my amazement). This was Louie, a great listener, advocate of just causes and more…”
