He was loved and cherished by many people including: his girlfriend Rita O'Neil; his children, Cord Alvarez, Kelby Alvarez, Cortney Alvarez Dunston (David Dunston) and Trae Alvarez; his grandchildren, Karley, Delilah, Presley, John David and Lainey; and his father John Alvarez. He was also cherished by his family, the wonderful friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital or Hospice of Marion County.
