He was predeceased by: his son Ricardo; his brothers, Dr. Ramon N. Ibarbia, Eliodoro and Constancio Ibarbia; and his parents, Agaton Narvarte Ibarbia Sr. and Petra Amador Ibarbia.

He is survived by: his children, Erlinda Ibarbia Winston (late Matthew Winston), Maria Belinda Ibarbia (Michael Jarnevic), Joel Ibarbia (Karen) and Ester Ibarbia (Juan Soria); his grandchildren, Shawn, Alex, Devon, Sage Soria, Nathan Winston, Rachel and Isabel Ibarbia; and his sister Dr. Lydia I. Calzo. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
