She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Rodgers and Carlos Valdez; and her siblings, Rosie Gomes, Pauline Rodgers and Ralph Vasquez.

She is survived by: her son Louis Garcia; her daughter-in-law Paula Garcia; her granddaughter Katelynn Garcia; and her siblings, Virginia Santillanes, Edward Valdez, Robert Valdez and Terri Valdez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
