It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Van Ruler of Salida, California, who passed away on September 1, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ruler and Gertie Van Ruler; and his sister Nancy Van De (Vern). He is survived by: his spouse Reona Netjes; his sons, John Van Ruler (Wadean), Brent Van Ruler (Beverly), Newman and Calvin Van Ruler (Tricia); his grandchildren, John Michael, Audrey, Will, Megan and Kayla; and his siblings, Howard Van Ruler (Dorothy), Glenn Van Ruler (Terri), Marlin Van Ruler (Joyce) of Sioux Falls, S. D., Ron Van Ruler (Lynda) of Hills, MN, Springs of Colorado, Colo, Will Van Ruler (Pam), Dennis Van Ruler of Sioux Falls, S. D. and Donna Honken of Luverne, MN.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you please donate to Sierra Salem or to a charity of your choice.
