It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Arthur Houk (Sacramento, California), born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Houk and Eunice Houk; his brother George; his wife Gwendolyn Houk; his children, Kristi Parnham (Tom Parnham), Dan Houk (Teresa Houk) and Karen Houk (Keith Doubleday); and his grandchildren, Danny (Stacie), Ryan (Kristina), Timothy (Kate), Marie (Darick), Kimberly (Matt), Lindsey, Christopher (Marissa) and Jennifer.
He also served on the boards of the Retired Teachers Scholarship Foundation (RTSF) and Student Buddy Program, where they mentored at risk youth.
