She was predeceased by: her parents, James Paras and Katina Paras; her husband Frank R. Curtis; and her siblings, Emmanuel Paras, George Paras and Helen Piperis.

She is survived by: her children, Christopher James Curtis (Linda) and Francine Curtis-Smith (Emmett); her grandchildren, Alexander Smith (Megan), Spencer Smith and Grace Curtis; her stepgrandchildren, Jessica Ransford, Tyler Ransford and Sam Ransford; and her siblings, Sophie Theodore, Kiki Econome, Gus Paras (Carol) and Antonia Chapralis (Tim). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary's memory to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, the American Cancer Society or the Sacramento SPCA.
