He is survived by: his parents, Daisy King and Samuel Herbert Merwin; his wife Carolyn Tillman; his brother Gregory King Merwin (Patty); his children, Paul Merwin (Annie Bien), Dana Merwin, Jennifer Merwin Busfield, Melissa Merwin Malina (Joshua), Todd Erickson (Melissa) and Monica McCoy (Justin); his grandchildren, Daisy, Samuel, Isabel, Avi, Will, Alex, Drew and Shaemus; his great grandchild Ruby; his former wife Judith Cleaver; and his sister Janice Merwin Williams.
