He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leon Held and Pearl Held; his wife Roberta Wallace; his children, Kim Cook, Debbie Shepard of Loomis and Scott Held of Solana Beach, California; and his grandchildren, Lindsey, Brittney, Cailin Cook, Taylor, Logan, Hayden Shepard, Ford, Tavielle and Tylee Held.
He founded a sports celebrity golf tournament to raise money for High School Sports as well as serving on several boards for the American Cancer Society and Local Rotary Clubs.
