She was predeceased by: her parents, Enoch Smith and Ethel Lee Smith. She is survived by: her children, Linda Jai (Ward), LaTonia Faye Jordan (Maxey), Shamay Maxey, Daniel W. Mays Jr. and Dana Marie Turay (Mays); her siblings, Evelyn Hornbeck, Clarence Edward Smith, Roberta Faye Smith, Linda Joyce Smith, Jacqueline Elaine Smith and Reginald Keith Smith; her son Richard Brady Ward; and her sisters, Brenda Kay Smith and Sharon Denise Johnson (Smith). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her children; Linda Jai, Shamay Maxey, Daniel W. Mays Jr. and Dana Marie Turay, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. *Attendance is limited to immediate family only, due to Covid-19 under California state mandate.*.
