He was predeceased by: his father Francis Dawson of Sterling, IL; his brothers, Dick Dawson and David Dawson; his grandson Jesse Donn Dawson of Rocklin, CA.; and his mother Alyce Dawson of Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Dawson; his children, Kevin Dawson (Chassity), John Dawson (Leilani) and Karen Vordale (Daniel); his grandchildren, Tavian, Eleni, Cassia, Jaylyne, Surayah Dawson, Donovan, Vivienne and Ellison Vordale; his sister Kathleen; his siblings-in-law, Raymond Chew and Janet Dawson; and his nieces, Lauren Chew and Amber Hjelm.
