He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fearl Shelton and Willie Mae Cook; his wife Elizabeth McQuerry (Liz); and his children, Jeanine Newcomb, Sula Brock (Gary), Teri Larson (Jim), Michael Shelton and William Shelton (Sueann). He was also cherished by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
