He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie J. Kemper (Anderson); his parents, Clifton W. Kemper and Lora Kemper (Moore); and his siblings, Lisa Kemper and Evan L. Kemper (Swami Prabhavananda).
He is survived by: his son Benjamin Kemper; his daughter-in-law Betsie Kemper of Glendale, CA; his siblings, Janice Johnson (Michael DeGive) of Decatur, GA and Richard Kemper of Apple Valley, CA; his nephews, Joel, Ethan Hageman, Ryan Johnson and Shaun Dial; and his close friend Cyndi Craven of Tucker, GA.
Working with the devotees there, Brother Shankara grew the congregation, rebuilt the Monastery to better allow for visiting Swamis and Pravrajika, and held the Center together with talks and classes over Zoom during the Covid Pandemic.
