He was predeceased by: his wife Connie Diaz Medina; and his son Roberto Lopez. He is survived by: his children, Jeronimo Lopez of Riverdale, CA, Javier Lopez of Sacramento, CA, Alberto Lopez of Winter Park, FL, Edward Medina (Terry) of Hanford, CA, Esmeralda Pena (Juan) of Temecula, CA, Estella Flores of San Antonio, TX and Rosa Hernandez (Eddie) of Fowler, CA.; and his grandchildren, Solomon, Sergio, Serena, Juan, Samuel Pena, Connie, Olivia, Alex Flores, Ricky, Crystal, Alyssa, Philip, Markie, Eddie Jr., Marcus, Gabriel Hernandez and Phillip Lopez. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
