She was predeceased by: her parents, Romke Wielstra and Stientje Wielstra; her husband Ed Nicolay; and her siblings, Sikke Wielstra, Bart Wielstra, Renske Wielstra and Eitsan Wielstra.
She is survived by: her children, Vera Anderson of Salida, Edward Nicolay (Gail) of Ripon and Jim Nicolay (Marjorie Ann) of Tennessee; and her sister Ineke Hogenboom. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
