He was predeceased by: his wife Clara Mae; his son Mike Hilvers; and his daughter-in-law Gail Hilvers. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Tracey Riddle, Robin Booth, Tom Hilvers, Kayla Hilvers, Jeffrey Hilvers, Derrick Hoag, Katie Heether, Jody Hoag, Kyler O'Connor and Kali O'Connor; and his sisters, Alida Cookson and Tillie DeGeus.
