She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Rath and Lucille Rath; and her husband Alfonso "Sam" Vasquez. She is survived by: her husband James Machado; her children, Alfonso Paul Vasquez (HolleeAnn) and Monica Vasquez; her grandchildren, Jordan Samuel (Rousel), Nico Vasquez and Gigi Vasquez; and her siblings, John Rath and Martha Calcara (Mark). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family asks for donations to the UCSF Cancer Center in Carla's name.
