He is survived by: his former wife Carolyn Harkey; his siblings, Bertha, Rose and Ken; his children, Steven Newton and Sheila Revels (Roman); and his grandchildren, Dezi Salmonds (Evan) and Stevie Newton. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
