She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest C. Gerken and Grace M. Gerken; and her sister Barbara Wright. She is survived by: her husband David Brown; her daughters, Tammy Jansohn of Merced and Debra Schwab of Bridge City, Louisiana; her brother Cliff Gerken; her grandchildren, Shelbie, Savana McAfee and Christina Esposti; and her great grandchildren, Steven, Jackson, Aurora, Olivia, Juan and Maria.
