He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Audrey; his wife Jan; his daughters, Carrie Lyle and Amanda Bell; his sons-in-law, Chris Lyle and Michael Bell; his grandchildren, Gianna Lyle, Daniel Lyle, Noah Bell and Jack Bell; his sisters, Sandra Grigsby (Donn Grigsby) and Patricia Diridoni; and his close friend McNeese.
