She was predeceased by: her parents, Garrett Mouw and Sue Mouw (Ekema); and her grandson Jason Weatherman. She is survived by: her husband Otto Gaastra; her children, Jana Boersma (Larry), Lori Van Baren (Steve) and Gary Gaastra (Mary); her grandchildren, Tahni De Jager (Kevin), Kelly Aardema (Pete), Shaun Weatherman (Courtney), Melissa Groot (Trevor), Scott Gaastra (Emily), Brian Van Baren (Alicia), Kristina Meelker (Casey), Brittany DeJong (Jeremy), Ashley Lekkerkerker (Jordon), Adrian Gaastra (Elisabeth) and Emma Boersma; and her siblings, Lila Ritsema (David) and Robinson.
