He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Thole and Jane Mary Thole (Morton). He is survived by: his wife Roberta L. Thole (Becker); his daughters, Sarah T. Fischell (David), Cynthia A. Loewus (Richard) and R. Lynn Whitmer (Gary); his grandchildren, Erin Fischell, Jennifer Fischell, Allison Whitmer Fahrney, John Whitmer and Emily Loewus Marz; and his sisters, Jane Sapp Winn and Ann Fehn. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
