He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert Voorthuysen and Elizabeth Van Voorthuysen; his wife Audrey VanVoorthuysen (Feenstra); his siblings, Christine Kooiman (Nelvin), Betty Ekema (John), Mary Jean Kimm (John) and Andy Van Voorthuysen (Alice); and his siblings-in-law, Marjorie Armstrong (Wacy), John Feenstra (Beverly), Donald Feenstra (Janice) and Marvin Feenstra (Kathy).
He is survived by: his children, Karen Parham (Gary), Gail Kamps (Ken), Ron Van Voorthuysen (Laura) and Barb Schut (Ron); and his brothers-in-law, William Feenstra (Shirley) and Gerald Feenstra (Celia). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.
